England, London

Gilgamesh
The Stables, Camden Market, Chalk Farm Road, London, NW1 8AH

Camden markets are some of the most vibrant and busiest in London. From the address, you imagine Gilgamesh to be situated in the middle of a field, but walking through the thoroughfare, it is right there in front of you in the middle of food stalls and general market chaos.

Take the escalator to the top where you enter a tea house and reception area where you are shown through to a massive bright room full of plush decorative furniture with carved wooden legs and arms, and a very long sushi bar and drinks bar.

The menu is pan-Asian and I insist that you check everything including the miso for wheat and gluten, but there are finds such as the sweet potato curry, the sushi (the maki rolls are tremendous) followed by the passionfruit rice pudding.
