Australia - Bundaberg

Take a stroll down past the Clock Tower Post Office and you will find Rosie Blue Deli. At Rosie Blue Deli I was treated to a wheat and gluten free cheese scone and a fruit and nut coconut square - these are perfect with your coffee.

Teaspoon is located in Targo Street and it's owner is 21 year old Jarred. He calls his cafe a boutique espresso bar...and I think he has it right. They do a wonderful breakfast of scrambled eggs (firm) and generous helpings of thick bacon. Thumbs up for his chai latte on real chai leaves. Unlike the powder formula, Jarred insists on keeping it real with his chai.

Casablanca is the latest addition to the Don Pancho Resort at Bargara. Run by the very friendly Brad and his son Kristin, they have created the right blend of atmosphere and menu.
Like Jarred at Teaspoon, Kristin is 20 or 21 years old - so I am loving this young influence in the area. In fact Kristin has Teaspoon business cards on the counter.

When I rang with my reservation Brad was more than happy to take details of my special diet and there was a note on the booking sheet which was mentioned by our host. He went through the menu with us and checked with the chef and kitchen team to make sure that I could have the baby Barramundi Fillets.

Nana's Pantry
Woongarra Street, Bundaberg
This is the best place to stock up on your cupboard staples - flour, bread, rice cereals, soy or rice milk, dried fruits and nuts.

This is my first port of call when I am in Bundaberg.
